CSI Official Medical Partner Rendezvous 2026 IIT Delhi

CSI official medical partner rendezvous 2026 iit delhi

Rendezvous 2026, the annual fest of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, opens its gates on 28th September and runs through 1st October 2026. This year, Center for Sports Injury (CSI) steps in as the Official Medical Partner of the festival — a partnership built on a simple idea the centre has followed for years: "Powered by Technology, Driven by Medicine."

For a fest of this scale, that partnership matters. Rendezvous regularly draws over 120,000+ footfall and 65,000+ unique attendees from more than 2,000 colleges across the country, with 2,500+ campus ambassadors and a packed four-day schedule of live performances, dance battles, fashion shows, and competitions. Wherever

thousands of young people compete, dance, and celebrate around the clock, the odds of a sprained ankle, a pulled muscle, or a knee twisted mid-performance go up too — and that is exactly the gap CSI's presence as medical partner is meant to close.

Rendezvous 2026: A Fest Built for High Energy — and Higher Injury Risk

Rendezvous is often described as one of Asia's largest college cultural fests, and the 2026 lineup backs that up. A few numbers worth knowing:

  • Live Stage: 15,000+ footfall with continuous performances from 11 AM to 10 PM
  • Artist Nights: 7,000+ attendees each night across three nights
  • Competition Zone: 20,000 people a day across 80+ competitions, including street dance battles, rap battles, and hackathons
  • Dance and fashion events: 600+ participants performing in front of audiences of 10,000 or more

Add in the Wind Tunnel and Biotech Lawn engagement zones, which see another 30,000+ visitors a day between them, and Rendezvous becomes exactly the kind of high-density, high-activity event where a dedicated sports injury partner — not just a first-aid tent — makes a real difference.

Why College Fests Need a Sports-Medicine Partner, Not Just First Aid

Most college fest injuries aren't medical emergencies in the dramatic sense — they're the kind that sports medicine specialists see every single day: a rolled ankle during a street dance round, a knee that gives way mid- routine, a shoulder strained during a rushed costume change, or simple dehydration after hours on the Competition Zone or Live Stage in Delhi's late-September heat.

Generic first aid can stabilise these situations, but knowing whether a swollen knee needs rest or an MRI, or whether an ankle sprain needs a brace or a scan for a hidden fracture, is where a dedicated orthopaedic and sports injury team adds value. That's the role CSI is stepping into for Rendezvous 2026 — pairing the festival's energy with clinical expertise that understands exactly how these injuries happen and how to treat them fast.

Meet the Man Behind CSI — Dr Pushpinder Singh Bajaj

Dr Pushpinder Singh Bajaj is the Founder Chairman & Managing Director of Center for Sports Injury and the clinical force behind the centre's partnership with Rendezvous 2026. He holds an MS and DNB in Orthopaedics along with fellowships and training from the UK, Germany, and Australia (FIAS-UK, MSc-Orth- UK, AO Fellowship-Germany, Diploma in Sports Medicine-UK, and an Arthroscopy & Joint Replacement Fellowship from Australia).

With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr Bajaj has performed more than 5,000 joint replacement surgeries and over 15,000 arthroscopic (keyhole) sports surgery procedures. He currently serves as President of ISKSAA (International Society for Knowledge for Surgeons on Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty) and has treated national-level cricketers, tennis and badminton players, and Olympic-level athletes over the course of his career. You can read his full profile on the CSI founder page.

That depth of experience is exactly the kind of background a fest the size of Rendezvous needs behind its medical partnership — someone who has already treated the injuries a competitive dance floor or a packed stage can cause, thousands of times over.

What This Partnership Means for Rendezvous Attendees

As Official Medical Partner, CSI is extending its sports-injury expertise to the students, performers, and volunteers at Rendezvous 2026 — giving fest-goers a direct, credible line to specialist care instead of guesswork if something goes wrong mid-performance or mid-competition. In practice, that means:

  • Access to experienced orthopaedic and sports medicine specialists for fest-related injuries
  • A trusted point of reference for participants and organisers on when an injury needs more than rest and ice
  • Fast-tracked consultation and same-day imaging at CSI's South Delhi facility for anyone who needs it during the fest window

When Should You See a Sports Injury Specialist?

Not every knock or twist needs a hospital visit, but a few signs are worth taking seriously — during Rendezvous or otherwise:

  • Swelling or bruising that appears within minutes of a fall or twist
  • A joint that feels unstable, locks, or gives way when you put weight on it
  • Pain that doesn't ease with rest, ice, and over-the-counter pain relief within a day or two
  • A popping sound at the moment of injury, followed by immediate swelling — a common sign of a ligament tear
  • Any injury involving visible deformity, or an inability to bear weight at all

If any of this sound familiar, it's worth getting it looked at properly rather than pushing through — small injuries treated early tend to heal faster than the same injuries ignored for a week.
