Sports Injury Care by CSI – Official Medical Partner of WPAC 2025 Delhi

Injury is more than just a physical setback—it is a moment that tests the courage, perseverance, and spirit of every athlete. For physically challenged athletes, every step, every stride, and every throw carries an added risk. Yet, the determination to push beyond limits shines brightest in moments of challenge.

India made history by successfully hosting the World Para Athletics Championships (WPAC) 2025) for the first time, celebrating not only sports but human resilience, grit, and dreams. As Amit Shah said, the nation is now looking forward to Olympics 2036, and events like WPAC remind us of what is possible when passion meets preparation.

Medical care is a lifeline in any athletic championship, and Center for Sports Injury (CSI) was honoured to serve as the official medical partner for WPAC 2025 Delhi, ensuring that no athlete’s dream was compromised by injury.

CSI’s Commitment to Athletes

Two dedicated teams, led by Dr. PS Bajaj, worked tirelessly from 6 AM to 8 PM, braving scorching heat and sudden rain showers, to ensure every athlete received the care they deserved. Our teams provided:

  • Acute injury care: ligament sprains, blunt injuries, wounds, fractures
  • Advanced physiotherapy: stretching, releases, taping, icing, dry needling, and on-field support under Ovesh’s guidance
  • Comprehensive investigations: blood tests, X-rays, Dynamic MRI scans
  • Nursing care: Shivani, Ms. Neha, and Mr. Pankaj ensured athletes’ privacy, comfort, and safety

52 athletes were attended by Dr. Ish Middha, Dr. Pankaj Vir Singh, and Dr. Aniruddha Patil, with Dr. Bajaj providing expert guidance. Mr. Sudhanshu Gupta, Mr. Chetan, and the team ensured seamless transport, hospitality, and timely support.

Through every sprain treated, every taping applied, and every wound dressed, CSI’s mission was clear: to protect dreams, support courage, and empower athletes to give their best. Following international protocols, many athletes expressed heartfelt gratitude for the care, trust, and

professionalism that made them feel safe and confident.

A Vision for the Future

WPAC 2025 was not just a championship; it was a celebration of human spirit, resilience, and unity. CSI’s participation reinforced our commitment to state-of-the-art facilities, international-standard medical care, and a trusted

support system for athletes.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Department of Health and Family Services, International Para Athletics Federation, PCI, SAI, Khelo India, and Dr. Brig. Bibhu Nayak for their unwavering support.

As India looks forward to Olympics 2036, CSI remains committed to standing by every athlete—ready to care,

support, and protect the dreams that take flight on every track, field, and stadium.

Because behind every medal, every record, and every smile, there is a team that believes in them.
